Experimenting with Hyper-V without an infrastructure
So... Even though personally I am a VMware fan and certainly believe VMware's vSphere is the market leader in server virtualisation, I do believe Hyper-V is a worthy alternative in Belgium or The Netherlands where the environments are mainly small enough to justify at least a doubt in the advantage for Hyper-V.
Some IT personnel might not have the hardware available to work and experiment with these things, for those (including me), Microsoft came up with the Virtual Labs (I know they existed for a while, but just want to point it out to you guys).
Here's is a short list, but I'm sure you can find more with your day-to-day Google-skills
:
Every Virtual Lab regarding the System Center Stack (Hyper-V)
The links below are not specifically pointed towards Hyper-V, but can certainly be of great aid in testing some things if time is scarce to set up an own virtual environment...
TechNet Virtual Labs
MSDN Virtual Labs
Happy experimenting!
* HyperBart out!
